Slow Cooker Ham and Corn Chowder

September is here! AND even though it will still be hot around here for another month or so...I AM IN FALL MODE!

I LOVE my crockpot! But I struggle to find new recipes for it.
Here is a pretty simple recipe but by far one of our families favorite soups...
 
Who doesn't need another slow-cooker recipe and soup to make in the fall?
 
Slow Cooker Ham and Corn Chowder
 
 Ingredients
1 Ham Steak cubed
1 Medium Onion chopped
1 TBSP flour
1 bag of frozen corn
1 Can of Cream of Celery Soup
1 Cup Chicken Broth
1/2 Cup Chopped Red Pepper
2 Large Potatoes Cubed
1 Cup Evaporated Milk
1 can Chopped Green Chiles
Salt and Pepper

Saute Onion briefly and add flour, stir well. In Slow Cooker, combine corn, soup, broth, chopped red pepper, potatoes, onion roux, and ham. Cook on low 7-9 hours (or if you are like me and forget to prepare this until 1pm, cook on high until your kids are starving!). Add evaporated milk, salt, and pepper 30 minutes before serving.
