DIY Bookshelf and storage

Did you like our little window seat that we made?
Well, right next to that was this little cubby in the wall.

I asked Jimmy to cut a 1"x12" piece of pine wood to make me a few shelves
and I painted them an off-white.

Then I decided it needed a little more definition so I added some Annie Sloan Graphite paint to the back. (It's one of my's a dark charcoal color)
Please ignore that I just realized one of the kids stole one of my candles :) :)

Underneath the 3 shelves, I wanted some storage. Rather than add some cabinet doors, I made a
no-sew curtain out of drop cloth to hide the area.
See my storage bins underneath!
I'm still working on styling the shelves, but here is where I am at so far.

I love how this little corner is coming together!

Are you interested in knowing how to make the no-sew curtain to hide storage? I was thinking about sharing that because you can put it anywhere!

  1. As always, amazing!!!

  2. This place is perfect for secure storage. Employees are exceptionally professional. Oh, and to those of you looking for a place to rent: I did my homework before choosing this place, and the prices are the best.

I would love to hear what you think.... Please leave comments here! :)
